About

I am a longtime Dublin area businessman and community leader who has brought greater accountability and excellence to Dublin Unified School District and Dublin City Council.

My ten-year service on the Dublin Unified School Board of Trustees brought improved District-wide test scores every year, while maintaining a balanced budget, having no teacher layoffs, and upgrading classroom technology.  As a Dublin City Councilman, I have sought to reduce housing density where appropriate, and also encourage and attract economic development in Dublin through innovative programs and initiatives.

As an independent businessman, I have led sales and marketing teams at national manufacturers and grocery retailers including Nestle, Dreyer’s, Pepsi-Co and Safeway.  I currently consult and advise Fortune 500 companies in the consumer packaged goods and retail industries.

I earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1997 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from California State University, Northridge in 1991.

During my public service tenure, I have served on various community boards including The Alameda County Local Area Formation Commission (LAFCO), Anka Behavioral Health Inc. Board of Directors, Dublin United Soccer League Board of Directors, Hope Hospice Advisory Board, and Easter Seals Bay Area Finance Committee.  I am also a member of Dublin Rotary and a volunteer for the Red Window Project, a non-profit committed to combating human trafficking.

My wife, Michele, and I have been married for 22 years and are raising our three daughters, Katelyn (19), Karissa (15), and Courtney (13).  I’m proud to have earned my Eagle Scout as a youth with Troop 784 in Carlsbad, CA.

We need David’s leadership and understanding in education, finance and business to sustain Dublin’s exceptional quality of life.
